About Us

About Type A Collective

The pursuit of balance isn’t about abandoning your ambition or letting go of your goals. It’s about learning to live in the space between what you want to achieve and what you can realistically sustain. It’s about being intentional with our time. Type A Collective was born from a place of exhaustion and overwhelm. The constant struggle to stay on top of everything whilst constantly feeling behind.

Our mission is simple: We want to to minimise burnout and foster balance.

It’s not about productivity. It’s the pursuit of balance.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

MEET AMANDA

As a first-time mother, I experienced firsthand the overwhelming challenges that come with balancing multiple responsibilities. Trying to maintain a successful career, being a present and loving mother, and keeping a well-organised household can often feel like an impossible feat. For me, it was. The constant struggle to stay on top of everything took a toll on my mental and emotional well-being, and I realised I wasn’t alone.

This realisation led me to create our line of stationery products with a purpose: to minimise burnout and foster balance for women who like me have multiple conflicting priorities. From career to family to running a household. Our minimalistic stationery is thoughtfully crafted to help you find clarity amidst the chaos, prioritise what truly matters, and embrace a more balanced lifestyle.

Join us on our Journey

In a world obsessed with hustle culture, productivity is sold to us as the key to success. But we never hear about the cost—the burnout, the sleepless nights, the nagging sense that no matter how much we do, it’s never enough.

It's like a weird, dysfunctional circus act, where you’re juggling spinning plates. The thrill isn’t in how well the plates are spinning, but in how long you can keep them up before they crash—and when they do, somehow it’s your fault for not spinning fast enough.

For years, I thought that being busy meant being successful. If my days weren’t packed to the brim, if I wasn’t running from one task to the next, I felt like I wasn’t enough. I wore my busyness like a badge of honour. But here's the truth: the lie in that mindset is that our worth is tied to what we do, not who we are.

The truth is, productivity is overrated. It’s not the quantity of tasks we complete that defines us, but the quality of our lives. It's not about how much we can tick off in a day, but whether we can look back and feel whole.

Balance, though, that’s a different pursuit altogether. It’s slower, quieter. It doesn’t come with a checklist or a perfectly color-coded calendar. Balance looks like saying no to what drains you—even if it's something you feel you "should" do. It looks like pausing in the middle of a busy day, not because you’ve earned it, but because you need it.

Shifting gears isn’t easy. For so long, productivity was my goal, and balance can often feel like failure. I still find myself feeling guilty for resting when there’s still work to be done. But then I remind myself: rest isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

The pursuit of balance doesn’t mean giving up on your ambitions. It’s about finding harmony between what you want to achieve and what you can realistically sustain.  Type A Collective is a step toward that life. This is Type A Collective. And we’re here to remind you that balance isn’t a luxury. It’s a mindset. It's not about productivity, it's about the pursuit of balance.

So welcome to Type A Collective, We hope you love it here.
